Solar Energy Storage Enclosures From a Sample

Send the product or photos. We measure every structural enclosure, rebuild the CAD, confirm with you, and manufacture — controller housing, BMS enclosure, display module cover, control panel. No CAD at any stage.

The Reverse Engineering Process for Solar Enclosures

Solar energy storage enclosures have more complexity than simple mechanical parts — multiple housing units must interface with each other, PCB mounting positions must be captured precisely, thermal venting slot geometry matters, and outdoor units have sealing features that must be reproduced exactly.

01

Send the reference

Ship the product or photos. We confirm receipt within 24 hours and specify any additional information we need.

02

Disassemble and measure every enclosure

We disassemble the unit and measure each housing separately: outer dimensions, wall thickness, vent geometry, PCB boss positions, connector cutout locations, sealing groove profile and cable entry features.

03

Rebuild CAD for all enclosures

5–7 business days per enclosure. Full dimensional CAD for every housing in the set. Free with your quote.

04

Confirm — or specify changes

Review the drawings. Reproduce exactly, or request changes — different UV material for outdoor use, added IP sealing, modified vent positions, different surface finish.

05

Manufacture and verify fit

All enclosures manufactured as a matched set and verified against each other for interface fit before shipping.

Original returned with first drawings. Your reference unit is returned with the first CAD drawing package. You continue using the original while we manufacture.

What We Can Improve During Reverse Engineering

  • Upgrade material for outdoor use — change ABS to ASA for UV stability; add UV-resistant coating
  • Add IP sealing — design a gasket groove into the original if it has no sealing
  • Reinforce thin walls — add ribs or increase wall thickness in areas that flex or fail
  • Change surface finish — different texture, paint colour, or soft-touch coating
  • Modify connector positions — relocate cable entries to suit your wiring layout

Frequently Asked Questions

+

The reference product or individual enclosures, or clear photos from all angles with a ruler. We confirm what we need after the first email.

+

Yes. Tell us which enclosures you need and we quote only those parts.

+

Any structural change: different UV-stable material, added IP sealing groove, modified vent positions, new connector cutouts, different surface finish. We make changes in the CAD stage before manufacturing.

+

We measure and manufacture from any reference unit. IP questions are between you and your legal counsel — we manufacture to the drawings you approve.
