Knowing which tier your part belongs to saves money — sometimes with us, sometimes without us:
Mills roll standard diameters and pitches in zinc-plated steel and A2 by the ton. If M10×1,5 × 1 m plated rod does the job, buy it off the shelf — nobody can compete with that price.
Distributors saw tier-1 rod into your lengths and chamfer the ends. Fast and cheap — but still limited to the diameter/pitch/material combinations the mills actually roll.
The thread is single-point cut on a CNC lathe from the bar you specify. Any pitch, any hand, any material, any length section threaded or plain. This is where the combinations that don't exist get made — one piece at a time if needed.
| You need | Stock all-thread | Cut from bar (us) |
|---|---|---|
| Fine pitch — M12×1, M10×0,75, M16×1,5 | rarely rolled | any pitch, gauged 6g |
| Left-hand thread — turnbuckles, spindles | a few sizes, if lucky | any size, both hands on one rod |
| Imperial & obsolete — 1/4-28 UNF, BSW, BSF | regional stock at best | gauged from your sample |
| Materials — titanium, brass, duplex, 42CrMo4 certified | steel and A2 mostly | machined from certified bar, 3.1 cert |
| Part-threaded — thread only where needed | full thread only | threaded and plain sections to drawing |
| Tight straightness & tolerance | commercial grade | turned between centres, checked |

Every thread is checked with go/no-go ring gauges in the exact pitch — including the odd ones, where we source or make the gauge alongside the job. Dimensional report on request.
Rod too long to ship as one piece? We machine coupling nuts in the same material and thread so sections join on site — one supplier, one certificate package, threads guaranteed to match.
Cut-to-length saws stock all-thread shorter — limited to combinations mills mass-produce. We cut the thread itself from bar: any pitch, hand, material or length section. If stock covers your need, use a cut-to-length shop; when the combination doesn't exist, we make it.
Yes — fine pitches are the top reason stock rod fails buyers. Any ISO 261 pitch and beyond, single-point cut and gauged to 6g.
Full-thread, tap-end, double-end (different threads each end), stepped studs and long tie rods — each machined as one piece from bar, never welded halves.
Past 1000 mm in one piece depending on diameter; longer runs join with matching machined coupling nuts.
Yes — EN 10204 3.1 traceable to bar heat, plus dimensional reports. Critical rods run from certified 42CrMo4, A4-80, duplex or titanium bar.
