When the Sensor Port Isn't in the Kit

Off-the-shelf gauge-adapter kits cover the popular ports — 1/8 NPT, 1/8 BSPT, a handful of metric sizes. The moment your sensor, transducer or instrument uses something outside that set — an OEM-specific port, a fine metric pitch, a mixed combination — the kit runs out and you're stuck. The sensor is right; the adapter to mount it simply isn't sold.

Adapter bodies are machined in 304 stainless (1.4301) or 316L (1.4404) for process media, brass for gauges and low-pressure lines, and 6061 or 7075 aluminium where the assembly is weight-critical — with the sealing style carried over, not improvised.

If the thread in question is the sensor's cable entry rather than its process port — a connector or gland thread such as M12×1.5 or M16×1.5 feeding a protective conduit — that is a different family of adapter, with its own sizes and sealing. See cable gland & conduit thread adapters.
